What a year of South Florida does to a kitchen
Three things, and all three are maintenance rather than repair. Hard water leaves film on glassware and scale in a dishwasher heater and an ice maker's water path — both counties soften at the treatment plant and the maker still recommends a softener at 15 grains or more, which is worth checking against your own utility's number. Humidity loads a condenser with dust that is damp and mats instead of blowing off, and packs a dryer duct with lint that will not blow clear. Heat keeps compressors and induction electronics working closer to their limit for more of the year than anywhere north of here.
