Then run the kitchen faucet hot for a minute: if the pressure there is poor, the dishwasher is being fed the same poor pressure and the machine is not the problem. ### The machine fills by the clock These dishwashers give the fill a set amount of time rather than measuring the depth. That means slow pressure and no pressure look the same to the control: it takes what arrives, then washes with it. A machine that fills at half speed does not report an error, it just cleans badly — which is why “not cleaning” and “not filling” so often turn out to be the same call. ### When it is the appliance With the valve open, the pressure good and the arms spinning, it is the inlet valve, the float, or the wash pump.
